What is a slug and a SEO? A slug is part of the URL that displays which page you are on. It is the unique part of an URL that identifies each page. You can choose a specific slug for each one of your pages/posts that is easier to read. SEO stands for search engine optimization.

Choosing good URL Slugs benefit your pages in many different ways. The first benefit of creating your slug, especially if it is simple and clear is that it is easier for readers to understand and know what the page will be about. They also help the search engines understand the contact. Readers and search engines respond best to URLs that are very direct and simple. People are more likely to click on something they can understand so more people will come to your page. They are, also, easier to remember when a reader wants to come back to your page. How do I Change my Slug?

Step One:

• The first thing you need to do is to go to your page/post and click the settings button in the top right corner.
• Once you click the settings, you click the first section, Summary.

Step Two:

• The second thing you need to do is to scroll down to URL. It will have your URL in blue.
• Click on that and it will pop up your permalink.
• Once it shows your permalink, you can change it to whatever you want (the simpler the better!)
